Annapurna Dhaulagiri trekking is one of the best scenic two weeks community based teahouse treks in Nepal. We stay at community run and managed lodges, whose profits directly benefit local schools and people. The trail passes through many interesting traditional villages, beautiful forests and rarely trekked high alpine pastures offering magnificent views of the spectacular Annapurna and Dhaulagiri ranges.There will be a number of stops on the way with ample time to take photographs etc. A lunch stop is made along the way and a packed lunch will be provided. The Annapurna Dhaulagiri trek will appeal to those trekkers who wish to experience the diversity of Nepal with the varied village life of diverse ethnic groups, walking through lush forests and the beauty of the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri ranges.

Day 01 :  Arrival in Kathmandu (1300m)

We will be waiting you at Kathmandu international airport holding a signboard with your full name so that you could recognize us so easily. When you come out, we will take private car to get 3*** hotel in the heart of Kathmandu city. Shortly you will do check in and get refreshed. Our tour leader Dilip will explain you about the overall glimpse of our full 14 days trip then in evening we will have a fantastic welcome dinner together at one of the Nepalese famous kitchen which introduces you a very unique Nepalese cuisine.

Day 02:  Kathmandu valley sightseeing & getting prepared

This is the valley where flourished Buddhism and Hinduism together over the centuries. The ancient architectures of Buddhist monasteries and Hindu temples are just spectacular. As this is the capital city of Nepal, people live together  from different walk of life and ethnic communities. After a breakfast, we start our guiding tour to UNESCO heritage sites; Kathmandu Durbar square, Monkey temple and Bouddhanath stupa; the major Buddhist sites. Also if the time permits, we do Pashupatinath temple which is the biggest Hindu holy shrine in this Indian subcontinent.

Day 03:  Drive to Ghandruk (2050m), max 8 hrs

Today we drive to nearby Ghandruk, approximately 8  hours away by tourist bus. We will see good scenery of countryside while driving. We will be arriving  afternoon at Pokhara, the beautiful city. After stopping for a while here for the rest, we keep continue to drive towards Nayapul, from Nayapul we drive gradually upwards to Ghandruk. Kimche will be the our last bus station and from there we will be walking max 45 mins to get Ghandruk, the Gurung village.

Day 04:  Trek to Tadapani (2650m). max 5 hrs trek

Our trail lead us uphill through fields and into forest of rhododendron, magnolia and lichen covered fig. We pass by waterfalls that cascade down narrow gullies that provide the perfect home for many small ferns and delicate plants such as exotic orchids bursting with color. Tadapani is a small village with limited campsites, our overnight accommodation will be in an eco lodge. This is the last stop before we head into the more uninhabited regions of our trek.

Day 05:  Trek from Tadapani to Bayli Kharka (3450m.) max 7 hours

Today we follow a very rarely used trail – initially through thick rhododendron forest – that leads to local water buffalo pastures. The climb is gradual and soon we will emerge above the tree line to superb views of the Annapurna range. You will take lunch by a small stream and then continue to climb gradually though open countryside to reach a small pass, where the trail descends through rhododendron to an open clearing known as Bayli Kharka. From the lodge there are great views of Dhaulagiri Himal.

Day 06:  Trek from Bayli Kharka to Upper Chistibung (2950m), max 5 hrs

We descend through open ground and forest to lower Chistibung, where you we have lunch. After lunch we keep continue to walk through forest, ascending gradually and passing through several buffalo grazing pastures to reach a clearing and temporary herder’s settlement and finally we get to upper Chistibung, where we will stay in the small community lodge.

Day 07 :  Upper Chistibung to Kopra Ridge (3640m), max 4 hrs trek

To reach the ridge at Kopra, regular climb that towards the tree line. This area is known for its wildlife. The best is to ride regularly, take your time and rest as often as you want. Guests can reach the lodge at Kopra Ridge for lunch and enjoy a grand view. The lodge of Kopra is the highlight of the trek.

Day 08 :  Rest & exploration day

Today we hike up from around six in the morning towards the Kaire Lake from where we can have excellent views of the Fang and surrounding mountains. We can see a number of both Hindu and Buddhist shrines on the lakeside. It is a long walk up to Kaire Lake and often takes several hours going forth to the lake and returning back.

Day 09 :  Kopra Ridge to Swanta Village (2200m), max 5 hrs trek

After breakfast with great views of mountain vistas, from Kopra Ridge we will descend off the hillside and continue steeply downhill. We will retrace the route back to Chistibung. It will take 1 and half hour. Then the trail goes steep down hill through the forest until Kharka for an hour. This place is really nice make a lunch break and then cross small wooden bridge. Afterward the trail stays up hill for little while in bamboo forest and walk in the ups and downs until reaching village of Swanta where Magar people are inhabited.

Day 10:   Swanta to Ulleri (2050m), max 6 hrs trek

Leaving behind breathtaking spectacular views of Annapurna Himalayas, today we descend to Ulleri, walking down for few minutes we will join the main trail to Ghorepani from where we walk downhill through rhododendron forest to Ulleri and stop at Ulleri for the night.  Ulleri is a famous Magar village of the region as many trekkers pass through the village during their trek in the Annapurna region.

Day 11:  Drive from Ulleri to Pokkhara(1400m), max 3 hrs

After the breakfast, we drive back to Pokhara, one of the naturally and culturally most beautiful town in Nepal. The private drive takes max 3 hrs. We will have lunch at Pokhara then we will have rest or walking around the city. At the evening, we will have dinner at Lake View Resort, just side of massive Fewa lake where we can have  enjoy of  different Nepalese cultural dances, folk tunes and songs.

Day 12 :  Pokhara sightseeing

Pokhara is famous for sightseeing, mountain views and many adventurous outdoor activities. We will touring following beautiful places:

1.Devis fall – It is known as Patale Chhango (waterfall), situated about 2 km south-west of Lakeside Pokhara. It has got a famous belief that a foreigner named David was swept away and never found from here. It has made gorges and flows through the caves.

2.International Mountain Museums-The International Mountain Museum is a place to get historical information of mountaineering. It includes all information about the highest peaks, climbing activities, lifestyle in the Himalayas and challenges.

3. Phewa Lake & Barahi Temple- It is a second largest lake in Nepal and a central tourist attraction in Pokhara. It is also a spot for water fun activities like boating and kayaking. The splendid views of the Annapurna Himalayan range are dazzling from the lake. Barahi temple is a famous religious monument in Pokhara, lies in the center of Phewa Lake.

Day 13:  Fly from Pokhara to Kathmandu

We fly to Kathmandu in the afternoon or early in the morning. We will have a farewell dinner in the evening.We can spend the day taking the much needed rest or catch up on some last minute shopping.  Our flying to Kathmandu will give us a incredible views of sky touching Himalayas.

Day 14:  Departure to sweet home

Today your Nepal stay is going end !  Majestic Himalaya representative will drop you off at the airport approximately 1 hour before your scheduled flight. We wish sweet journey  for your way back to home.
