Muktinath is one of the most famous pilgrimage sites of Nepal. A sacred site to both Hindus and Buddhists alike, Muktinath is located in the foot of Thorong La pass at an altitude of 3750m. Habitant to the Mustang district, Hindus refer to the shrine as “Mukti Khsetra” (The place of liberation/”moksha”) and Buddhists as “Chumig Gyatsa” (Tibetan for Hundred Waters). Visitors may either take a 5-7 hours hike from Jomsom or may opt for our heli-flight to Muktinath. The Heli-tour to this sacred shrine has recently been gaining widespread popularity. Not only will it save your time, but taking a helicopter to this sacred land will ensure you a pristine view of the territory.
