The image of this region is associated with the soaring views of the most popular mountains in Nepal, at an altitude of 8000m such as Cho Oyu, Everest, Lhotse and Makalu which are clearly visible from Gokyo Ri above Gokyo Lake.Encompassing both the legendary Everest views and the scenic tranquility offered by the distinctive mountain lake scenery, the Gokyo valley trek is truly the best of the region. This trek offers upclose views of Mount Everest, the ice fall off the largest glacier in Nepal and countless memorable views that offer the best of the Khumbu Region.During the trek; we stay at local lodges and confortable guesthouses. Everything is organized in conjunction with local Sherpa guides. Along the trek we will pass Buddhist monasteries with the views of Everest and other snow towering mountains getting closer by the day. We will have rest days in the villages of Namche bazaar that will allow us to explore the region and to acclimatize, which is very important.

Day 01 : Arrival in Kathmandu(1300m)
We will be waiting you at Kathmandu international airport holding a signboard with your full name so that you could recognize us so easily. When you come out, we will take private car to get 3*** hotel in the heart of Kathmandu city. Shortly you will do check in and get refreshed. Our tour leader Dilip will explain you about the overall glimpse of our full 18 days tour then in evening we will have a fantastic welcome dinner together at one of the Nepalese famous kitchen which introduces you a very unique Nepalese cuisine.
Day 02: Kathmandu - Lukla - Phakding (2652m), max 4 hrs trek
An early flight to Lukla and landing on a steep mountain runway brings us to the start of our trek at the village of Lukla. Once we reach there, you will have quick breakfast. Then we will proceed towards Phakding which is slightly downhill from Lukla, so it will be comparatively easier day in your trek.
Day 03: Phakding to Namche Bazaar (3440m), max 6 hrs trek
Today we we walk through a beautiful Sherpa villages along the Dudh Koshi river crossing many suspension bridges. The trail climbs through the forests and bridges until we reach the confluence of the Dudh Koshi and Bhote Koshi rivers. After a final steep ascent of about two hours we get our first sight of Mt. Everest peering over the Lhotse-Nuptse ridge. Upon this juncture, we stop for a while to admire the view. We still need to hike about 1.5 hrs to reach Namche Bazaar, a trading center of Everest region.
Day 04: Acclimatization Day at Namche Bazaar
This is the scheduled ‘acclimatization’ day for this trek. We either spend the day taking hiking to Thame or Khumjung or relaxing and exploring Namche Bazaar itself. We further climb up to the famous airstrip at Syangboche. Just above the airstrip is the Everest View Hotel, a Japanese scheme to build a deluxe hotel with great views of the highest mountains on Earth.
Day 05: Namche Bazzar-Tengboche (3870m), max 6 hrs trek
The trail leads moderately flat with superb view of Mt. Everest, Nuptse, Lhotse, Ama Dablam and close up view of Thamserku, Khangtaiga. The trail continues wild lives spot of musk deer, colorful pheasant. Trail descend to Dudh Koshi river where few lodges and series of picturesque water driven prayer wheels. Cross suspension bridge over Dudh Koshi River a steep climb through pine and juniper forest, walk about 2 hours bring us to Tenboche. The famous Monastery with the background of Ama Dablam, Nupte, Mt. Everest and many more peaks.
Day 06: Tengboche to Dingboche (4360m), max 6 hrs trek
Morning views of Everest and magnificent Ama-Dablam, walk leads downhill for few hours to the bridge over Imjatse River, after the bridge walking on open country where the tree lines disappears only for few sparse vegetation and juniper bushes, walking on the gentle uphill for a while to reach at Pangboche village at 3,900 meters, the last permanent village before Dingboche and beyond, from here a slow climb to Somara for lunch and continue walk on the nice terrain with last climb to Dingboche village.
Day 08: Dingboche to Lobuche (4940m), max 6 hrs trek
We are now well above the tree line and our walking today brings us to Dusa from where we descend to a stream at 4580m. Immediately above we reach the teahouse of Dughla and continue to a ridge, which has several memorials to Sherpas killed on expeditions to Everest. Continue along the moraine of the Khumbu Glacier, with views of Kala Pattar and Pumori to reach Lobuche.
Day 9: Lobuche - Gorak Shep (5170m) - Everest Base Camp (5364m) - Gorakshep, max 9 hrs
The trail to Gorak Shep goes ahead through the lateral moraine of the Khumbu Glacier with the views of. Everest along with Mt. Pumori, Mt. Mahalangur, Mt. Lingtern, Mt. Khumbutse, Mt. Nuptse, etc. As we reach Gorak Shep, we will find snow-capped mountains looming all around us including Mt. Everest. We further move towards Everest Base Camp and finally we see tents pitched in the vast area of glaciers for Everest and Lhotse expedition members and the dangerous Khumbu icefall, the killer of hundreds of mountaineers. Although Everest is not visible from here, it is the destination for the trekkers of the world to put their steps and make a memorable moment of their life. We return to Gorakhshep for night stop over.
Day 10: Gorak Shep - Kala Patthar - Lobuche (4930m), max 8 hrs trek
We start our hiking early in the morning with the target to reach kalapatthar for sunrise to witness the first day light shining on Everest and gradually making yellowish glittering mighty massive. As we reach Kalapatthar for the breathtaking panorama of Himalayas, we will have an opportunity to see closest views of Pumori, Chnagtse, Everest, Lhotse and Nuptse, Amadablam etc. Spending some minutes there for the photo shoots, we retrace to Gorakhshep and then to Lobuche.
Day 11: Lobuche to Zhongla (4830m), max 5 hrs trek
The short trail to Dzongla passes through crossing different basins at various locations. The most important is you can see soaring heights of Ama Dablam, Kangtega, and Thamserku at the one hand and one the other hand Taboche looms prominently ahead of you. In addition, you can view Pheriche village, Chola Lake and Mt. Cholatse at distance.
Day 12: Zhongla – Cho La Pass – Thangnag (5685m), max 7 hrs trek
This could be the most challenging day of the trek as you go over the Cho La (pass). Fortunately, having already visited Everest Base Camp you should be well acclimatized and getting used to the high altitude. If there is a lot of snow the pass can be difficult. Microspikes can be very helpful if there’s lots of snow. It’s a tough climb to the top but the splendid views are more than worth it.
Day 13: Thangnag to Gokyo (4780m), max 4 hrs trek
We continue down into the Gokyo Valley and cross the Ngozumpa glacier the longer glacier in this part of the Himalayas and an impressive sight. We should reach Gokyo by lunch. After lunch you should have time to walk up to one of the lakes in the valley and get some great views of the surrounding peaks.
Day 14: Gokyo Ri (5483m) to Machhermo(4470m), max 8 hrs trek
Climb the Gokyo Ri which emerges above the village in the northern side of the Lake. From the Peak you can see the beautiful view of the summits of Everest, Lhotse and Makalu. Then we descend to Gokyo and trek down to Machhermo. We follow the Dudh Koshi River. We see large yak pastures there and some tea houses on the way dowan. It would be easy step down.
Day 15: Machhermo to Namche (3440m), max 6 hrs trek
From Machhermo we walk downhill to Phortse tenga. We pass through the forest covered with rhododendron, pine and local incense. Then we ascend in the steep path to Monglo and then descend gently to Kyangjuma we walk in the flat path for some time and then descend to Namche.
Day 16: Namche Bazaar to Lukla (2,800m), max 8 hrs trek
Following the morning breakfast, we continue our trek to Lukla along the Dudh Koshi River. The trail goes steeply downward with rocky terrain. Even though, we are walking the same route, we feel completely different then the before. We pass through the rhododendron, pine and oaks forest and Sherpa villages.
Day 17: Fly from Lukla to Kathmandu
After the breakfast, we will check in to Lukla airport and board the plane to Kathmandu. Flight is again depended on weather conditions so delay could happen! In Kathmandu, in the the evening,we will host a farewell dinner at one of the finest restaurant.
Day 18: Fly back to sweet home
Today your Nepal stay is going end ! Majestic Himalaya representative will drop you off at the airport approximately 1 hour before your scheduled flight. We wish sweet journey for your way back to home.
